I am a brand-new player to Pickleball, and I don’t know where to get started. Leagues or coming to a drop in/open play makes me uneasy. How do I get started?LTP will have lessons and clinics that will be geared to new players. Both individual and group. We will host “free” clinics from time to time specifically geared toward new players. You can also join one of our leagues that is geared to new players as well. Lastly, you can rent a private court and bring 1-3 other friends who have never played before and have the area to yourself. A staff member will always be available to answer questions. We can even provide equipment if you don’t have any yourself.
-
Can I have a standard court reservation on the same day/time every week?Yes, we refer to that as “contracting courts”. You may request the same day/time each week for 6 or 12 weeks at a time. You must pay for the courts in advance and there are no refunds. This assumes that the courts are available that day/time.
-
For the 10% membership discount for Military, is that Active Duty only or does it include veteran/retired status?Veteran/retired status counts as well. First responders also count - police, fire, EMT.
-
Are there discounts at the pro shop and "The Kitchen" memebers?Your dicount applies at the pro shop according to your memebership. We do not offer discounts at "The Kitchen" for members.
-
What can I expect from your tournaments and how do I sign up?LTP will host 5-6 “full scale” tournaments each year. They will be a full weekend (at least) - 3 days. These will be hosted on Pickleball Brackets. You must sign up there. A discount code will be provided for any members that are Silver or higher. In addition, LTP will host another 6-7 “one day” tournaments throughout the year. These will be more specialized (round robin with rotating partners, singles events, women only, age specific - both youth and senior, etc.). Those will be available to sign up thru the website.
-
I hear there will be golf simulators at LTP. How do I access those?LTP is in a strategic partnership with a 3rd party for those. Players be able to go to the reservation portal through our website to book the simulators. Discounts for members will still apply. They will be able to use those during key card hours, assuming they have key card access. We hope you still enjoy some food and beverage from “The Kitchen” during your play.

Any other value propositions and selling points for these membership options that they might not pick up from the rate card and you would like me to pass along to my friends? My group is mostly 3.0 - 4.0 addicts who play 4-5 times a week year-round. Most play in leagues and tournaments a few times a year as well. The advanced booking windows for courts, leagues and tournaments can be very beneficial. For members other than bronze we would also give advanced notice that a league is expiring and would ask them if they want to renew for the next session. We haven't ironed this out, but we most likely will have events for members other than bronze during the year. Tournaments, leagues, parties, etc. They also pay discounted/no fees to sub in leagues. We have an excel spreadsheet that lists all the pricing and discounts. If people are on the fence about what level membership they want, we can run it thru this worksheet, and it will give a recommendation for the cheapest overall membership for them. Pro shop and simulator discounts as well.

Do you have to be a member of LTP to play Pickleball at the facility, use the golf simulators, go to “The Kitchen” (bar/restaurant) or buy something at the pro shop. You do not need to be a member at all to go “The Kitchen” (bar/restaurant), use the golf simulators or buy something at the pro shop. You do need to at least be a bronze member to play Pickleball at the facility. Bronze member is basically just registering in the system, so we have the payment information, and the players sign the necessary paperwork. It is a pay as you go system for bronze. No initiation fee, no monthly membership fees. All other memberships have an initiation fee and monthly membership fee. Those memberships come with perks and discounts. If you have any questions about which one is right for you, please contact us and we are happy to provide you an estimate based on the frequency of play.
-
For the 10% membership discount for Students, what exactly does that entail?Students 22 years of age or below must show a student id. Except for younger students that don't get one.

There seems to be quite a few different leagues. Any high points you can make around them to simplify what might be right for me?1) King/Queen of the court - casual league for players looking for a social environment. No stats or DUPR. Players can self-rate but must be reasonable. Rotating partners. 2) Round Robin - somewhat competitive league for players looking for a mix of competitive play & social play. Stats, but no DUPR. Rotating partners. Players may self-rate but must be reasonable. 3) Ladder League - competitive league for players looking for competitive play. Stats and DUPR. Rotating partners but players move based on results and play with players around their results of the league. Players may not self-rate. Strictly based on DUPR ratings. 4) MLP League - somewhat competitive league for players looking for a mix of competitive play & team pickleball play. Stats, but no DUPR. Round robin format followed by team pickleball based on results. Players may self-rate but within reason.

If VIP members exhaust their "free" benefi ts, such as their one free 12-week league per year, and then want to join a second league ... do they pay for these additional services at the Gold member rate?If there are 4 free leagues per year (it was meant to be 1 per 12-week period but that got too confusing). That is for Diamond. For VIP you get 8 free per year. Anything that these members exceed their limits would be priced at the gold member rate.
-
If I would like to rent out the facility for a special event can I do that?Yes, we can put together a package based on your needs, whether it's only a few courts or all of them. Please contact us to help put something together for you.
-
Will I be able to use the golf simulators if im not a member?Yes, if you are not a member the simulators are for everyone. However if you are a member you do get discounts based on your membership. Also key card members for "off hours" can also use them. Please see the golf section of our website for more details.

Are the Court Rental Fees ($40 Bronze; $36 Silver; $32 Gold) per hour? For example, a Silver member who wants to rent a court for two hours to play private doubles games with three friends, would pay $72 for the foursome while their three guests would pay nothing, correct?Yes, it is per hour. And your assumption is mostly correct. Whichever player reserves the court, the rate is driven by their membership status. So, your example above would be correct. The only thing is they would have the option to split it between the four members so they each pay their own way. They will still all receive the same pricing.
-
Would you explain how the Key Cards and their fees ($35 Bronze; $30 Silver; $25 Gold) work? Are the fees one-time charges to obtain a card and then court time needs to be purchased at an additional rate (Bronze "full price"; Silver 50% off; Gold free) when the Key Cards are used? If so, what does "full price" refer to ... is it the Court Rental rate? The Key Card access is per month. Yes, you pay the discounts you have listed above the normal court rental costs. You must have purchased key card access to play during key card hours. You do not need to have a key card if you want to join a 6-8am league. See programming sheet on the website under Play. They would need key card, but no fee.
-
Are the listed Lesson rates per hour? Are all Lesson rates fixed at these levels, or are there variable rates depending on the tenure & certification of the Pro?They are per hour. The only dierence would be the clinics (which are not listed on the sheet). Those would be 2-3 hours. Larger groups of players for those (say 8=16 players). The cost would be about $50-75 per player. The cost does not vary by certification of the pro, but you can choose which pro you would want to work with.
-
Is there a standard length of time for the $15 Drop Ins/Open Play sessions? Will there be a cap on the number of Drop In/Open Play players allowed per court?Normally 2 hours. Shootouts will be 3. Shootouts are basically a one-day ladder, so it is organized. For 8 courts, standard max registrations will be 48 players. For shootouts for 8 courts, it will be 40.
-
Seasonality and breaks. Silver, Gold or VIP members that pay monthly may want breaks due to snow-birding, injury rehab or mostly playing outdoors in the summer. Can we pause our memberships entirely or downgrade to pay-as-you-go during these time periods without having to pay new initiation fees to re-activate Silver, Gold or VIP memberships when we want to ramp back up?Standard would be you can take up to a 4-month break. When your membership is on hiatus during this time, pricing would revert to bronze pricing. On exception, we can allow up to 6 for special circumstances (typically due to an illness or injury).
-
Tournament fees. At all Member levels, there is a 50% discount to sign up for a 2nd Event. Am I correct that this means a Member playing both Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles in the same tournament would get 50% off of their 2nd event? But it does not mean that a member registering for a single event in two separate tournaments gets 50% off of their second tournament entry of the membership year, right? That is correct. It is only if it is in the same tournament.

There seems to be quite a few different drop in/open play options. Any high points you can make around them to simplify what might be right for me?1) Drop In/Open Play - standard drop in/open play setup. Courts will be broken out by skill level. Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced. Number of courts in each group will depend on sign-ups. No DUPR. More of a social atmosphere. Players may self-rate within reason. 2) Shootouts - more competitive drop in/open play setup. Basically, will be a one-day ladder league. Court assignments based on DUPR ratings. If player does not have a DUPR rating, they may provide an estimate. Mix of competitive/social atmosphere. 3) DUPR Drop In/Open Play - standard drop in/open play set up but matches will be entered into DUPR. Courts will be broken out by skill level. Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced. Groupings will be based on DUPR ratings. If a player does not have a DUPR rating, they may provide an estimate. Number of courts in each group will depend on sign-ups. More of a competitive atmosphere.
-
When is the cut-off date for the promo initiation fee of $50 before it becomes the regular initiation fee of $100?It will be $100 initial fee normally and $50 if you sign up before we open. Estimated opening date at this point is 12-30 (we hope it will be sooner).
